Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
AyuSync is operated by an independent developer based in Nepal. For any privacy-related concern, write to contact@ayusync.nepdevtv.online.
2. What we collect
The app stores the following information in your personal account on Google Firebase Firestore:

We do not collect: location, contacts list, browsing history, advertising identifiers.
3. How we use third-party services
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Crashlytics) — stores your account and data securely in Google's data centers (asia-south2 region). Subject to Google's privacy practices.
- Google Gemini API — when you scan a lab report or BP monitor, the photo you submit is sent to Google's Gemini for text extraction. When you generate a Health Summary, aggregated statistics (not raw values) are sent to Gemini to produce the Nepali-language summary. Google's data handling: ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms.
- Notifee — local on-device library that schedules medicine alarms. Does not transmit data.
4. Who sees your data
- You. Always.
- Caregivers you link. If you grant a family member caregiver access through "Link Family Account", they can read and modify your records the same way you can. You can revoke at any time.
- We do not sell your data. Ever. We do not show advertisements. We do not share your data with marketers.
- Legal requests. If compelled by a valid court order from Nepal or the jurisdiction where Google hosts data, we will comply. We will notify you unless prohibited by law.
5. Where your data lives
Your data is stored on Google Cloud servers in the asia-south2 region (Delhi, India). Google encrypts data at rest and in transit. Photos you scan for OCR transit to Gemini's servers (location managed by Google) and are not retained by Google beyond the extraction request, per Google's API terms.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account in Profile → Sign Out → Delete Account, we permanently remove:
- Your profile, medicines, dose history, vitals, lab results, health events, and health summary cache within 30 days.
- Crash logs and anonymized diagnostics may persist up to 90 days in Firebase Crashlytics for the operational benefit of all users.
7. Your rights
- Access — see all your data inside the app.
- Correction — edit any record at any time.
- Deletion — Profile → Sign Out → Delete Account permanently erases your data.
- Portability — write to contact@ayusync.nepdevtv.online and we will export your records in JSON format within 30 days.
- Withdrawal of consent — uninstall the app to stop further data collection. Stored data is preserved unless you also delete the account.
8. Children
AyuSync is intended for adults age 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you become aware that a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
9. Security
We use industry-standard practices: HTTPS-only transport, Firestore Security Rules that enforce per-user / per-caregiver access, and Firebase App Check to discourage abuse from unauthorized clients. No system is 100% secure — if you suspect your account has been compromised, change your Google password immediately and contact us.
10. Medical disclaimer
AyuSync is a reminder app. It is not a medical device. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always follow your doctor's instructions. The Health Summary feature is an AI-generated convenience based on the data you entered; it is not a diagnosis. In a medical emergency, call your local emergency number — not AyuSync.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be highlighted inside the app with a "Privacy policy updated" banner; the "Last updated" date above will always reflect the most recent revision.
