Terms of Service
1. What AyuSync is
AyuSync is a personal medicine-reminder application targeted at senior citizens and family caregivers in Nepal. It schedules alarms based on the medication times you enter, lets you store your own health records (vitals, lab reports, history), and offers an optional AI-generated summary of your last year of data.
2. Who can use it
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must have a valid Google account.
- If you create records on behalf of a family member as a caregiver, you confirm that you have their permission to do so.
3. Your responsibilities
- Enter your medication schedule, dosage, and stock accurately. Wrong information produces wrong reminders.
- Verify scanned lab reports and blood-pressure readings before saving — AI extraction is not perfect.
- Don't rely on AyuSync alone for safety-critical doses. Confirm with your prescription label.
- Keep your Google account secure. We use your Google identity to authenticate you.
- Don't share your account or accept caregiver-link invitations from people you don't trust.
4. Things you must not do
- Use the app to provide medical advice or treatment to other people.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying source code or API keys.
- Attempt to access another user's data through any means.
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose.
- Submit content that violates someone else's rights (e.g. uploading another person's lab reports without consent).
5. AI features
AyuSync uses Google's Gemini API for two purposes:
- Extracting numeric values from photos of lab reports and blood-pressure monitors you scan.
- Producing a 2–3 sentence Nepali health summary based on aggregated statistics from your last year of data.
AI outputs may be wrong, incomplete, or misleading. You are required to review the extracted values before saving them, and to treat the health summary as a starting point for conversation with your doctor — never as a clinical assessment. AyuSync, its developer, and Google make no warranties about the accuracy of AI-generated content.
6. Service availability
We do our best to keep the app reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Outages can happen due to: Google service interruptions, network issues, your device's battery-optimization settings killing background processes, or operating-system bugs. Don't rely on the app for life-critical medication timing without a backup (a written schedule, a family member's reminder, a physical pillbox).
7. Account termination
You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Sign Out → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, attempt to abuse the system, or trigger excessive AI usage that would harm service for other users — with notice when reasonably possible.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Nepali law:
- The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
- The developer is not liable for any health outcome, missed dose, incorrect dosage, or medical decision made based on data shown in the app.
- The developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- The total liability of the developer for any claim arising out of your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app — which, since the app is free, is zero.
This section does not exclude liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. We will notify you inside the app for material changes. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Any dispute will be brought before the courts of Kathmandu, Nepal.
